akous (the "App") is developed by Maker Portal LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure experience. Unlike most modern applications, akous is designed with a privacy-first, on-device architecture. This means your personal data, audio prompts, and generated soundscapes stay where they belong: on your device.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) through the App. Our philosophy is simple: if we don't have your data, we can't lose it, sell it, or misuse it.

On-Device Processing

All AI generation (using Diffusion Transformers and VAE models) occurs entirely on your device's hardware (Apple Neural Engine and Metal GPU). Your text prompts are processed locally and are never sent to a cloud server.

App Store & Apple Services

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information such as device identifiers, payment information for App Store purchases, and crash reports. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We only receive anonymized, aggregated data from Apple to help us improve the App's performance.

2. Data Storage

All your generated soundscapes, prompt history, and custom settings are stored locally within the App's secure sandbox on your iOS device. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the App, this data is removed from your device unless you have backed it up via iCloud.

3. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. We do not use cookies or web beacons within the App.

4. Security

We leverage Apple's native security features to protect your data. Since all processing is local, there is no risk of data interception during transmission to a server.

5. Children's Privacy

Because the App does not collect any personal information, it is inherently safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
